The importance of self-time is especially great when one lives with you. Everyone needs a little loneliness.
Self-time is given much more to those who live alone, but it is this loneliness that can cause grief. We emphasize that being alone does not mean being lonely either. It is also possible to live a great social life alongside loneliness, which means that self-time is still needed. However, it does not matter what we use the time spent on ourselves.
In Nature
Find a place that impresses, that feels calm and feels good when you can be there. Sit down or lie down and listen to what nature is “talking”. Your thoughts may zigzag under your consciousness, but maybe for a few minutes you can turn it off completely and take it away from everyday life.
In the kitchen
Make food. Try not to worry about how you will succeed. You simply do it because you like it. Accordingly, the result may be the same. Try it boldly! Taste it!
Home luxury
Allow yourself bath water and settle in the tub for a while. Make no noise, just listen to yourself. Enjoy the way the water hugs you! Not only your body is cleansed, but your soul as well. Then take a long-started book in your hand and read it!
On the move
If you feel that you have a lot of energy and can’t handle it, give your body the opportunity to get rid of tension in the form of movement. You may get tired, but you will also feel satisfied.
In the hobby
Is there something you love to do but keep postponing because of your work? Sweep the job aside at noon and pay homage to the preoccupation I enjoy doing.
Tiny beauties and pleasures
Our big mistake is that we are only happy with the big things, but as soon as we achieve them, we are already looking for another one. Happiness and beauty are always around you, you just have to notice. In such a small way that the sun is shining, the bird is chirping, your dog is running kindly in front of you to greet you, or that the neighbor is smiling at you.
Doing nothing
Sometimes the best self time is when we don’t do anything. True rest goes to body and soul, so time must be taken for it.
