Many new terms live and filter into everyday terms. Diets, diets, diets, and lifestyle changes are all about new names.
Maybe you've heard it, or you have come across the term mindfulness. In English it means to be alert, to be consciously present in our own lives. This is what we do in most of the time in awake time, because we are present in our own lives, but awareness is not necessarily true.
Mindfulness means focusing on the present, even consciously. Our senses help us in this, because we see, hear, taste, smell, and experience external stimuli with our skin. But our brain is not always working in the present. Our consciousness can be straying into the past and the future, but during the mindfulness we bring ourselves back into the present. It's here and now. If we consciously pay attention to it, then we live it really means it can be used in our everyday life, but also in the course of meditation.
Exercising the midfulness process - attention, distraction, observation and attention - is much easier when our lives are on the rails, but even more effective when there is a problem. When we can concentrate soberly on the present and acknowledge the events, we find it easier to find the explanation, and we can approach the solution more sensibly. The fact that we are consciously present in the present also means that we are vigilantly responding to everything that is worth us. We are all about what is happening, and although there is not much to do with it, we cannot change it, perhaps to shed light on how to avoid or accept the moment. If we consciously pay attention to ourselves and things in our environment, then we will be able to react more flexibly in our emotions, and our actions may become more thoughtful.
So this is mindfulness, at least in our reading, but if we look for a scientific definition in dictionaries and on the internet, we can't find a unified response to what is mindfulness. And if there is no uniformity of what the concept is, how could it be a unified method?
Scientists have investigated the beneficial effects of mindfulness and have found that therapy does not always lead to results that they promise. Based on this, midfulness is an effective relaxation exercise.
In the scientific world, this is of great importance, but if we only consider it as a layman that this method can help us become more conscious of ourselves, we can better manage it, then we have won something.
Midfulness is a method related to Eastern cultures, which is also related to religion, but it works independently in religion in Western culture. There is also the risk that if we take something from another culture in this way, we cannot apply it properly. Mindfulness monks have put their lives to practice, but in the western world this can be a disadvantage, as mindfulness and meditation can disturb the functioning of brain regions. The memories can also be stored less reliably. Mindfulness can therefore have drawbacks.
