We live in permissive and accepting liberalism, but we cling to our traditions and also find it difficult to break away from the stereotypes entrenched in us.
Our increasingly enlightened approach is evident in everything, but it is cautious. This is another reason why gender-neutral education, which is increasingly mentioned today, is such a delicate topic. Don't get me wrong. It is not at all that those who raise children in this way do not recognize femininity, masculinity. There are very clear - believable - differences between the members of the two sexes. Gender neutrality is much more about raising babies by letting go of the gender specificities of women and men.
Curiosities about education
They sang and told us as children, and we also teach our children rhymes and songs that reinforce gender differences, female and male roles in children. In fact, the crying little boy who suffered a minor accident is often said to be a soldier thing! The boys are strong, they don't cry. From this, it becomes clear to both boys and girls that little girls are weaker. And he who is weak cannot run a company, but he may not even be able to straighten his own life. That is why every woman needs a strong man next to her.
The boy stays the boy and the girl is a girl, there is no problem with that, but it is also becoming more and more apparent that men are full of emotions and sometimes crying breaks out of them. And yes, they make money for the family, they are strong but they feel it. At the same time, women are not only capable of whining, crying, raising children, and running a household, but they also invent, lead, work, and take their place as leaders.
In many cultures, women live in the weak, they are also counted according to them, while elsewhere they share all kinds of work equally, regardless of gender.
We were already raised according to our gender and this was also true for the children in our environment. As a result, we have become accustomed to our gender roles at home and have unconsciously raised them all in schools as well. Also in kindergarten, it can be a general picture that little girls are not pushed in front of Lego, cars and construction toys because it is not girly. For them, the kitchenette, the babies are real, and it’s also extremely suspicious if a little boy still reaches for the baby.
No matter how different men and women are in physical abilities, we are almost the same in terms of the brain. That is, how we behave, what we consider ourselves to be, is not due to a pre-determined difference, but depends on upbringing.
