As adults, we already know how winding and difficult the emotional road leading here can be. Adolescence certainly results in extreme emotions and behaviors for the majority of young people.
Adults are past the emotional tsunamis and ups and downs caused by hormones. This change, which affects not only the young person, but also the family, can cause difficulties. The good news is that it doesn't take forever and it takes some time to see more clearly as an adult. But let's try telling this to a rebellious teenager right now?!
As soon as we get to the point. Because in the case of teenagers, extreme emotions alternate. By the time we get used to him rebelling and fighting with us, by that time he has already become a pawn. This is also how he views the world and expresses his opinion about it. Since the mood is also volatile, so are his statements, thoughts, and resolutions accordingly. What is certain in this era is uncertainty. It's no wonder, since teenagers who want to leave childhood, but who don't really belong to the world of adults, are looking for their place. Not only in the school environment and more narrowly in the class, but also in the wider society. This period is also terrifying because young people are very impressionable in their insecurity. Still, they try to find answers to the questions that drive them.
They have the opportunity to bring down the little devil that squirms inside them. At the same time, they also have the opportunity to get rid of anxiety and frustration, and possibly get answers to their questions, if they find themselves in a constructive environment and find something to do that can help them.
Music and sports are an excellent solution to frustration. Sport can also get rid of accumulated energy and stress. Hanging out with friends can also be a good solution to relieve anxiety through joint efforts and conversations, but if young people are not in good company, the problem can only get worse.
There is a much more innocent activity that can be done anywhere, helps development and relieves stress.
Diary writing can not only serve as the basis for American films. We can express our thoughts through writing. Also something that we are ashamed or dare not share with anyone. But even if we have already shared, the pain still remains in us, describing them can ease the pressure. What rages inside us becomes visible. It can be good or bad, the thought that crumbles inside can take shape on paper. You don't have to be Petőfi, you don't have to strive for artistic value. We don't dictate this anyway, but the reader, if our writing reaches someone or people at all. But in order to relieve anxiety, the fear doesn't even have to be seen by anyone but us. It is enough to write out the thought and it can take on a completely different color from the moment it becomes visible.
We motivate our child to boldly write down his thoughts in addition to talking to us. You may even figure out the solution while you're writing, but if you just reduce the tension in yourself, it's already worth it.
