Not so long ago, our lives were limited by the epidemic. We had to switch to a completely different lifestyle. We were forced to adapt to the changed situation.
As a result of the coronavirus epidemic, we have had to face changes and challenges in our work and even in our private lives. Digital education, home office, hand disinfection, mask use, distance. We learned these, we kept them. There was no other choice for school children, everyone studied at home. A good portion of employers who had the opportunity also preferred working from home.
It lifted the veil on a new way of life. On the employee side, the opportunity came as a blessing to many, while others did not find their place and longed to return to the office. Today, order has been restored. The austerity measures have been lifted, bringing life back to normal, while some have remained in the home office regardless of the epidemic. It turned out that work could in many cases be done from home and was not eliminated even after the pandemic.
According to a domestic survey, workers who worked from home due to the pandemic would be happy to stay the same after the restrictions. From an employer perspective, however, this is by no means such a clear and preferred solution. So the gap is big in terms of judging the two sides.
It took a huge transition from people to do their work at home. Even so, it was a great opportunity for many to keep their jobs. There were those who could not work from home and it cost them their work. In a word, there was an opportunity to keep the job. Over time, it has become clear that there are many advantages and disadvantages to a home office. Yet on the part of employees, a lot of people would like to stay at home and work that way, but the employer side no longer sees it that way.
Most of the participants in the research go to work and most of them do intellectual work. On the other hand, a pandemic here or there, a small percentage in the home office is just as expected.
The fact that employers, even if they agree to work from home, doesn’t mean they just work that way. That is, in addition to the home office, you have to go to the office one day a week. At the same time, some businesses are starting to become open to working only in the home office.
In the status of employer and employee, the home office is judged differently in that while the most important thing for employers is the office equipment (computer, telephone, printer), the personality and composition of the colleagues in the office environment and only then the infrastructure.
