We are over the (seemingly) longest month of the year, but this does not mean that the lack of sun and the cold do not subside. Especially if we experience this at work.
The morning is the most difficult time for many. It determines how our next day will be. As is the quality of your sleep. The fact that it's getting dark early and it's cold outside doesn't make the situation any easier. Maybe we are tired of having to wear so many clothes to protect ourselves from the cold. And in the afternoon, these together absorb our remaining little strength. Taking a nap after lunch is just a daydream, so you have to think of something else to pull yourself together until the end of the working day.
Although there is no way or time to lie down after eating lunch, we have the opportunity several times during the working day to move around a bit. A nice stretch while the coffee brews or some gymnastics helps to revive us. If we do sedentary work, this can be especially good. If you feel that you don't have enough time to get up from your chair, you can do breathing exercises and stretching even while sitting, which will fill you up a bit.
Let's ventilate as often as possible. It is also necessary to change the air during the heating season, and if others around us are sleepy, then it is time to refresh the air.
If something needs to be done and we can get out into the open air, don't turn it down, let's take the opportunity. You can also visit the outdoors during the scheduled breaks and even some breathing and/or gymnastics exercises performed in the fresh air can get you going.
After lunch, we can experience the so-called kayak coma. However, it does not matter what and how much we consume. It is worth preparing your lunch with foresight and properly. Because light food does not warm our stomachs so much and we do not get overwhelmed with fatigue. Of course, this by no means means that we hardly take food into our bodies, since the rumbling stomach and the feeling of hunger distract attention from work at least as much. In addition, we can feel powerless.
As a substitute, many people see coffee as a stimulating solution. Since coffee has a diuretic effect, it is necessary to strive for fluid replacement. Water should also be served with the coffee. And if you don't drink coffee, drinking water can be at least as good a solution to wake you up a little. It may be that the state of being drowsy and unable to concentrate is basically caused by a lack of fluids, so drinking won't do any harm.
