However, not only must the mandatory safety measures be complied with, but the relationship between colleagues, the boss-subordinate relationship and the attitude towards work at home have also changed, K&H pointed out.
In the coming weeks, the dice will turn as workers who have done their jobs from home so far will gradually return to their jobs. “When returning, companies focus primarily on security measures, but at the same time, it is worthwhile to pay conscious attention to the strengthened working relationships during the emergency. During the quarantine period, the staff got to know each other much better humanly, so in the future they will boldly ask for help from the other and cooperate more easily. Leaders were also able to show their new side, as in addition to professional guidance, mental support was also needed. And the home office has proved its worth, so if it is needed in the future, everyone will adapt much more easily and flexibly, ”said József Végh, HR Director of K&H.
Not only our own safety, but also the health of others is at stake
From the time we get back to the office, the virus situation is not over yet. We are responsible not only for our own health, but also for the health of our colleagues, so we need to use the office differently than before. Whether you are wearing a mask all the time, using only your own equipment, keeping at least one table away, constantly disinfecting your hands or pre-arranged lunch breaks, to protect the workplace community, following these rules, as at home, is now in the office clear.
Everyone is human
The difficulties experienced during the virus epidemic also showed the human side of managers and workers. Employers have been forced to give their employees more autonomy in the performance of their duties, so their confidence in colleagues who have performed well during the home office has also increased. This makes it easier for employees to seek advice from each other and their managers, while repeatedly and willingly helping the other, be it more efficient in solving tasks or sharing ideas. The more humane and cohesive relationships we have built through online discussions and solving company challenges will not be lost on a fresh start.
A home office is no longer a compulsion but an option
By being able to perform well even during difficult times, colleagues can radically change employers ’attitudes to work from home. For corporate executives who have so far doubted the effectiveness of the home office, the virus epidemic has been real learning money. This is because employees have proven that they can stand up at home and focus even more on tasks. From here, therefore, it can be an opportunity to work remotely, for which it is worth consciously creating the conditions: a comfortable work environment, a flexible work schedule, and a safe technical background.
