A beautiful home not only depends on the interior design, but can already be seen in the garden. Those who have a garden put a lot of energy into caring for their plants.
Autumn weather can depress our mood, but even so, there are days when the sun shines. These are the days when we can do a lot of things in our garden. Autumn gives us a lot of work. It is necessary to winterize the plants, tidy up the lawn and deciduous trees also give their job.
Gathering the Avar makes for continuous activity. Autumn leaf fall is a natural process, and so do plants that live in nature. They even try to take advantage of it. The Hungarian Ornithological and Nature Conservation Association draws attention to the fact that we treat the aviary with great care. This is necessary because our garden and fallen leaves are tempting for hedgehogs. The collected avar, which is found in a pile but without bagging in the garden, is a great hiding place for spiny animals. In preparation for the winter dream, they look for the right place where they can fall asleep. The temperature, which permanently drops below 8 degrees Celsius, causes them to retreat and sleep.
The collected avar can even be a protector of trees, shrubs and bushes, if we cover their stems with it, and it also becomes a nutrient when it decomposes. Leaves arranged in piles can also be a winter accommodation for hedgehogs. If we don’t want hedgehogs in our garden, we need to collect the leaf piles and take them out of the garden. Those who are not bothered by the presence of prickly animals should be more careful now.
