Anything can preoccupy you so much that it keeps our brains awake even when it’s time to sleep.
How many times, but how many times, can we find that we have already exceeded our normal bedtime, but still toss in bed even though we feel tired. There have been and will be times in our lives when excitement and stress are so prevalent over us that they show up everywhere.
Whether in our work or in our private lives. And if we don’t find a solution or don’t achieve our goal, thoughts can fill our souls and thoughts so much that it’s hard to think otherwise. Even at night, it doesn’t always work out, even if our body already needs a good, restful sleep. Our thoughts can swirl in us so much that they can drive away the dream.
It’s also annoying when we’re getting ready to sleep, yet we can’t relax. The worst thing we can do in such a case is to get nervous about it. It certainly won’t help if we get annoyed about insomnia. Instead, we can bring about the dream much more skillfully, or at least effectively wake up.
Everyone always complains that there is no time for anything and there really are things we push in front of us. During such a sleepless period, tasks can be performed that are already sitting excruciatingly around our necks, do not involve loudness, so we don’t even wake up the family. Paperwork, sorting checks, weekly, daily plans, making any notes can be helpful.
You can also start journaling. You don’t have to keep a diary because it scares many people into making a daily entry. But it’s good to have a notebook on hand and we can record our thoughts. Poems, funny or sad stories can be born like this, while the soul heals, the tension evaporates.
Let's get ready for our next day's outfit. And to be prepared, let’s also look at what time to expect next day. This can be done for other members of the family as well. Whichever piece requires ironing can also be done, so you don’t have to postpone it until morning. Ironing is a quiet workflow.
Because we can’t sleep, we don’t necessarily want to do too much work yet. We prefer to sleep, but if it still doesn’t work out, let’s read. For many, it is one of the best dreamers. Ebooks can also be a solution. You definitely need light to read, but if you want to avoid that, you don’t even need light to listen to audiobooks. Just like for breathing. Conscious attention to breathing can calm the mind and body as well. It is recommended to meditate and relax during the period of not sleeping well. Before going to bed, herbal tea and essential oil can also be used in the hope of better sleep.
