We are full of questions, question marks, fear. If we are not afraid of the coronavirus, it is because of the restrictions made to prevent the coronavirus.
Everyone could hear the news of what changes are taking place in the country this week. Schools are not waiting for students, as forced teaching and learning from home now awaits teachers, students, but even parents. Not only are educational institutions closing, but precautions are being introduced in a large number of workplaces as well. We need to go through a new situation and, as far as possible, best solve it for families, the whole country, which has never been experienced before.
For an indefinite period, children are not allowed to attend schools, but even kindergartens and nurseries are only waiting for children who are ultimately unable to accommodate the placement of the little ones within the family. This may vary from settlement to settlement, as in some places the closure of ovis and sages has been ordered in the same way as in the case of schools.
How will you learn from home? Nobody knows yet. No educator has experienced this before, this is a completely new situation.
Everyone in the media was able to find out about the epidemic, so weeks earlier, people began preparing for the end of the world by injecting durable food, disinfectants, and everything they might need to “survive”. The emptiness of the shops can now fill even those who have not taken the seriousness of the epidemic seriously at all.
No one knows how long it takes to close school. Will it be like this for two weeks or even the end of the school year? Not sure, but let's count on a minimum of two weeks. The kids could only hear the news that they didn’t have to go to school for a while. And what do parents and educators do about this and how they will implement home teaching and learning?
All we know for sure is that even if the kids don’t have to go to school, that doesn’t mean there will be a walk from now on. Not even a break. The work has to go on after all, just quite differently than before. Older children now also have a greater responsibility because they have to master the curriculum on their own and have to schedule their stay at home accordingly. For younger students, it is mostly up to the parents to comply with this.
Country and world are experiencing a new situation that has never been before. We are on new ground, but our small country has already gone through so much, we have to solve that too.
We have a great responsibility to follow the prescribed precautions, to be careful, to pay attention to those around us!
