Winter may still return to the index, but walking beyond the middle of March, spring is better expected and we treat our houseplants accordingly.
Spring means the awakening and revival of nature. Not only do outdoor plants and animals wake up from their sleep, but houseplants also understand spring. But winter may not pass without a trace on our plants. Yellowed leaves, plants in poor condition may line up in your home, but at least they haven’t perished. It is a good sign to find a sign of life on the plant next to the fallen, browned leaf. If the stem is still flexible, possibly with a green leaf or two, all is not lost. It will certainly take time for survival to prove, as regeneration may take more time.
Not only dehydration can cause plant death. The leaves may also turn brown and fall off because you have received too much water. In this case, the fallen leaves or even the leaves on the plant are neither dry to the touch nor the soil. If you’ve realized that your plant is probably suffering because you’ve overdosed, you can do a miracle with a transplant, save a life.
There is also a lot of information available on the internet about what the needs of some houseplants are. In addition to the newly purchased, purchased plants, you may even get a little guide to help you navigate what light and water-demanding plants we have. Accordingly, try to choose a place in your home for plants.
The need for light and sunlight is a prerequisite for the life of any plant, so in addition to morning ventilation, we also let in light as much as possible. Too dry air can be a plant killer, so try to provide more humid air, as not only are the roots able to absorb moisture, but the moisture on the leaves also gets through the plant.
During the winter, we were able to water much less of our plants in the apartment. During the heating season, it is difficult to find a balance so that the air is neither too humid nor too dry. The plants have depleted the nutrient content of the soil, so it can now be supplemented by transplanting, soil replacement and / or the addition of nutrient solution. Each of the nutrient solutions obtained in florists indicates the route of administration. By following these, we can breathe life back into our houseplants in poor condition.
Over-watering can do more damage than watering the flowers less. Before we do our mandatory respect with the watering can, make sure that the soil of each houseplant is really dry, only then water it. Wet soil suggests that we would help with overwatering with more water. Leave it out of the watering.
