You can find many jobs in the house with a garden. Inside and outside the house, even the garden requires care if we want it to be demanding and productive.
Creating a beautiful garden requires awareness and a lot of work. And a lot of work also requires a lot of investment of time, and you don't get much if you want to do everything. But in many cases we make it difficult for ourselves to take care of the garden.
Before starting work outside, it is worth thinking and planning. If the structure and structure of the garden is already given, but the plants are not as we imagined, they do not develop as they should, then it requires rethinking and planning.
First of all, it is worth observing what characteristics the garden has: its size, location, the quality of the soil, the amount of shade and sun it has. Of all these, sunlight, shade, and water are the most important factors, but wind cannot be ruled out either.
No one says that creating a beautiful garden doesn't require an investment of time and energy, but if it's smartly planned and not just put in, you'll be grateful for it over time. Not only with beautiful plants, but also with less maintenance.
If we have reconsidered or are just now planning our garden, then let's start with the earthworks. We do not only mean loosening the soil, but also increasing its productivity and drainage. These can be put to good use later on. It is worth creating a composting area, which can then be used to enrich the soil. Collecting rainwater is also an environmentally conscious step that can be used for plants in the garden, as well as for watering houseplants and during work that requires water around the house.
By observing the garden, it is possible to assess which areas can be farmed: shaded, sunny, etc. This does not matter, because the needs of the plants are also different. Knowing this, plants that enjoy the given conditions the most can be more consciously planted in the right place. In other words, this means that the garden can be divided into different zones. Plants that require more water should be planted near the well or the rainwater catchment, because annual plants, for example, require daily watering.
When observing the garden, we can also find a plant that we want to exterminate in vain, but we don't know. Sometimes it is better to give up this kind of struggle and give in to the wildness of nature. If you want to be with us, so be it. Keeping such beasts under control, of course. In the same way, we let hedgehogs, amphibians and insects do their thing in the garden.
