SPAR Hungary is now the main sponsor of the Budapest Wine Festival for the fifteenth year, September 8-11, 2022. in the Buda Castle area, at its own stand, it will still present its best Selection wines. SPAR is a Wine Festival as old as Hungary
With its 22 wine regions, Hungary offers a varied palette to wine lovers, and the already traditional Budapest Wine Festival presents this rich selection year after year. The large-scale event opened its doors to the public in 1991, the same year SPAR Hungary was launched, and since then it has become the biggest cultural highlight of the harvest period, attracting tens of thousands of people. For decades, the domestic chain has been determined to help the development of the domestic wine culture, offering items from the best Hungarian producers on its shelves. Since 2007, the company has also promoted one of the most important products of Hungarian agriculture, Hungarian wine, as the main sponsor of the Budapest Wine Festival.
Gift tasting, entrance ticket at half price
At SPAR's stand, it offers a taste of its own selection of wines, the majority of which products are only available in SPAR and INTERSPAR stores. In addition, every third glass of wine consumed here is the fourth gift. The company has also announced a special promotion: anyone who purchases over HUF 15,000 at the SPAR, City SPAR or INTERSPAR stores between August 25 and September 7, 2022, will receive a coupon at the checkout, which can be used to purchase half-price tickets to the Budapest Wine Festival.
Beneficial items
The Budapest Wine Festival, which offers diverse gastronomic and cultural experiences, also serves an important social cause. At the traditional closing event of the event held in the Budavári Palace, a charity wine auction will be organized from valuable items from renowned wineries. The proceeds will be used to support the Symphony program of the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service, which helps bring out the musical abilities inherent in children. The exceptionally skilled talents formed a band that has performed in Salzburg, played on the A38 ship, in the Csikós yard of Buda Castle, and together with the Óbuda Danubia Orchestra, performed three times at the Academy of Music. The next step in the development of the Symphony program is if children living in remote settlements can travel to performances and rehearsals with their own minibuses instead of rented vehicles: the Charity Service's goal this year is to acquire such a vehicle.
What else will happen?
The two stages of the Wine Festival offer more than thirty productions to those who want to have fun, many styles are represented, from pop to jazz to authentic folk music. More than before, comfortable seats satisfy old visitor needs, and with the introduction of tickets that can be exchanged for a specific day, the potential crowding from time to time will also be eliminated.
