Plastic waste causes enormous damage to the environment from which the fauna and flora share and share, if they will, if not.
Plastic is only due to man, as is the way we treat it. It only takes a few seconds to make a plastic product. Some plastic products are used only once and then discarded, but it takes hundreds of years to degrade. However, the smaller pieces of plastic, the microplastics, can also get into the body of the animals, into the water.
It has been living since 2011 thanks to an Australian initiative for plastic-free July. The truth is that we can include a plastic-free month for any month, but we need to join a plastic-free July now. Last year, more than 100 million people from 170 countries took part.
Within the framework of Plastic Free July, we must strive to use as little or no plastic as possible. We can do a lot for our environment, so we can have a big impact on plastic use.
Look around your home, your surroundings. Plastic can be found everywhere, and if you focus on that, it’s almost staggering how common this substance is in our lives.
The problem is that a significant portion of it is plastic that is used once and immediately lands in the trash. We can free our environment by trying to find something other than plastic. You can also avoid using plastic when shopping at a store. At least you have to try. If we buy in a market, no one is obligated to use a plastic bag.
We live in the time of summer garden parties, and although it is much easier and simpler to use disposable cutlery, let’s think about our environment. Although it takes more work to use traditional tableware, it is worth it.
It is worth getting a bottle for each member of the family, which can be filled with water at any time. Consume bottled water rather than store-bought.
We can also free our environment by switching to wicker baskets, linen bags and packing in them after every purchase.
You can also select among the plastic containers in our household. It is worth replacing it with glass, cane, wooden containers. Not only are they more natural, but they look better aesthetically as well.
We can still feel free to join the plastic-free July, and this attention and awareness can be maintained every day of the year.
