Not only is there flu - not to mention the coronavirus - but there is also a cold season. We are not surprised because the weather fluctuates between winter and spring.
No one is surprised if the weather in the morning still shows its winter face, and in the afternoon there is even a big coat, so we get rid of it. It is this larger temperature fluctuation that makes it easier to catch a cold. What do we do if we know that the unpleasant symptoms occur because the cold wind has blown? Despite the sunshine, you need to be even more careful during this period. Colds, however, are common at this time.
Upper respiratory diseases are not uncommon as we inhale the cold air, which causes our throats to become inflamed. And if the throat is inflamed, runny nose is expected, nasal congestion along with sore throat. The common cold is what we try to survive with home treatment, and in addition to lemon-honey tea, we consume more vitamin C. Usually we only do this when we are already in the cold. Without a medical checkup, we carry the cold on our feet because it is our sacred belief that it is not contagious. This is one of the biggest misconceptions surrounding colds. It can’t be caught because it’s due to the weakness of the immune system, the lighter attire, not being caught by someone else. But the common cold is contagious. A patient who sneezes, has a runny nose and does not follow the rules of hygiene is certainly as contagious as the flu.
During the flu and runny nose period, a lot of people start taking vitamin supplements to strengthen their immune systems to prevent them. With this, they want to gain some assurance that they cannot get any disease. Anyone who is basically healthy, consumes plenty and consciously of vegetables and vitamins is likely to have a strong immune system. Consuming larger amounts of vitamin C consumed in the presence of trouble does not protect against colds. The attitude towards common colds is to steam with chamomile in addition to lemon tea because we consider natural juice as an antidote to a stuffy nose and a key to our healing. Inhalation is good and can really improve our condition, but it can even worsen the situation because a warm pair can worsen the function of the cilia in the nose.
Many people realize that she is dressed more easily in the cold weather, and not long after she feels the symptoms of the common cold. However, the cold itself does not cause a cold, because the common cold is caused by the pathogen, and the cold only does so that it can weaken the body's defense system.
Another important misconception is that while influenza vaccination can be a solution to influenza, it does not provide protection against colds at all.
