In the case of young children, the development of movement is spectacular and there are very important stations that are all necessary for the development of a healthy body and nervous system.
For adults, movement is already automatic, yet we can still know for ourselves how left-handed we can be. There are days when everything is so cumbersome. Because it may be a bad day for everyone, but there are times when the objects in our hands fall out, we stumble, we get lost, we fall out, we drop and we can even continue. If perhaps more than one such case is worth a day, we are already considering whether to do something else that day.
There are worse periods in everyone's life when they can't pay attention to the outside world, but not even to their tasks, and this is manifested in their movements and actions. It’s not just about breaking, crushing around us. It’s just annoying enough to forget more and more, we can’t find, we don’t see what is in front of our eyes anyway. We are simply scattered, we are clumsy.
How skillful we are depends on our vision, that is, what we perceive from the stimuli of the environment, because based on this we adjust our movement, the position of our body as well. It depends on our nervous system, that is, our brain, because all the information flows in and the stimulus to it starts from there. And the bones and muscles carry out everything the brain dictates.
We have all of these, everything works, but then why is it that sometimes we are much more clumsy than others?
Our awkwardness occurs when one of our organs mentioned above is a little underperforming. Some medications, illnesses, injuries can affect all of this, but stress periods, insomnia, and fatigue can also cause left-handedness.
To overcome the awkwardness of movement, sports can be very effective. With equilibrium exercises, it is avoidable that we can rarely step aside, stumble, fall. In yoga poses, there is a particular emphasis on maintaining balance. In addition to working and stretching the muscles and body parts, this relaxed form of movement is also very suitable for balance development.
If there is no yoga practice in our environment, clumsiness can be refined with simple tasks like playing ball. Our children should be involved in this. Once they’ve grown out of this, we can even toss with our partner. Fine motor skills are also well developed and refined by activities that have an experience and a developing effect for children, such as skinning, jigsawing, plasticineing and coloring.
Making our environment accessible is good for reducing clumsiness. Let’s put our environment in order and pay attention to rest and avoid stress.
