An 18-meter-tall, 70-centimeter trunk diameter, 6-8 ton silver pine tree will arrive on Kossuth Square on Monday, the pine tree decorated the garden of a family home in Apc, Heves county - the Press Office of the Parliament informed MTI on Sunday about the country's Christmas tree.
The tree will be put up on Monday.
In their announcement, they wrote: the pine tree will arrive at Kossuth Square with the help of experts from disaster management, the National Guard and the police. At the same time, they asked for the understanding and patience of motorists due to the waiting and restrictions that may occur during the delivery of pine wood.
The train carrying the silver pine is expected to travel on the M3 motorway from 12 noon on Monday. From approximately 1:30 p.m., the M0 highway - Megyeri bridge - 11th main road - III. Batthyány utca - Rákóczi utca - Szentendrei út - Pacsirtamező utca - Lajos utca - Árpád fejedelem utja - Üstökös utca - Török utca - Margit híd (no traffic) - Jászai Mari tér - Balassi Bálint utca (no tram traffic) - Kossuth tér route longer travel time, possibly waiting for the arrival of the pine tree.
During the renovation of Kossuth Square, the planners had already taken into account the location of the tree, so a permanent socket sunk into the ground was also placed on the southwest side, which can hold the huge tree securely even in strong winds with the strap connectors, they wrote.
The pine tree is decorated with a 130-centimeter-high, 103-centimeter-wide, 36-centimeter-deep, three-dimensional, 25-kilogram, eight-pointed star-shaped topper that shines with warm white, energy-saving LED light. In addition, 2,500 running meters of string lights, including 16,000 energy-saving colored LED bulbs, will decorate the Christmas tree.
This year, the Bethlehem of the nation - as the creators named it - comes from Kisgyőr, consisting of human-sized wooden figures.
The country's Christmas tree decorates Kossuth Square from Advent to Epiphany, and after its dismantling, the wood is offered as firewood to the needy by the Office of the Parliament, the statement said.
