In 2021, TikTok took the prestigious first place for the first time, overtaking Facebook in terms of website traffic as the Internet's favorite social media platform, although Facebook remains the social media with the most users in the world.
According to the most recently available statistics, Facebook has 2.797 billion monthly active users, and 1.845 billion people actively use the platform on a daily basis.
