A healthy lifestyle includes regular consumption of vegetables and fruits. It would be best to use the fruit from our own garden, but not everyone has the opportunity to do so.
Caring for the garden is not just about work. It has many positive effects on our lives. Caring for the garden is good for the plants, but it also relieves and physically moves the tension accumulated in us. And this double gives us pleasant fatigue.
Not everyone has the opportunity to grow fruit and vegetables in their garden, so it remains a market or store purchase. Whatever we take home, we clean it before using it. In the current coronavirus period, we are paying more attention to hygiene. Not only do we wash our hands several times, but this is also true for food. Due to the use of fresh-keeping agents, fruits and vegetables are so fresh and fresh in stores, so it is definitely important to clean them thoroughly. But how?
At a time when we also need to pay close attention to personal hygiene, it is natural that we take better care of cleaning everything else. The products taken home from the store have already been caught in front of us by quite a few customers, shopkeepers and cargo handlers, so basically it is necessary to observe hygiene. We can trust that it happened with the use of rubber gloves.
Even in the days before the coronavirus, there was always the question of how best to clean products. When shopping, it is best to wear rubber gloves to prevent the virus from spreading by grasping the products. If we don't have gloves, just look at the product and only touch it, which we put in our basket, in our car. Once you have taken it home, you should immediately wash it off with plenty of running water, rub the surface, and then rinse it several times.
Do not use dishwashing detergent in the name of environmental protection either, as we can find several natural and environmentally friendly solutions in our home. These include vinegar, which is also used to flavor food, and can even play a role in keeping our home clean and disinfected, making it just as good for disinfecting products taken home from the store. In addition to vinegar, baking soda, which is also found in every household and is a universal product, can also be used. Thanks to baking soda, the surface of fruits and vegetables can be cleaned very gently yet effectively. In the case of larger vegetables and fruits, this is easy to do, but in the case of berries and more vulnerable products, rubbing is not possible. In their case, washing with plenty of running water is recommended in addition to repeated soaking. If we are very afraid of both chemicals and the virus, it can be reassuring to get the products off their outer shells.
Also take care of our own cleanliness, so always wash your hands after cleaning the products as well.
