Hydration. It is a word that is uttered not only in the summer, but not necessarily only in the liquid. Proper skin care includes hydration.
Much of our body is made up of water, and we've learned this in our biology classes, and we know how important it is to get enough fluid. If possible, the liquid we drink should be water or tea and not a sugary drink. The amount of fluid consumed should be at least 1.5 liters a day, but it can be much higher under high heat and physical exertion.
Skin care begins by drinking enough fluid, but of course, external hydration is not essential either. Everyone hears and reads that hydrating the skin is not only very important, but essential for a youthful, supple and beautiful appearance. We also know that our skin needs differently according to the season. Because of the summer heat, the body needs a lot more fluid due to the extra sweating. Drinking water is not a problem at this time, but in the winter you can forget about water supplementation because you do not sweat so much or get hot. Not only does a hot summer day rinse the skin, but it dries, can form wrinkles and the harmful UV rays can further damage the tissues, so we not only apply sun cream, but also pay more attention to hydration.
Winter weather can be accompanied by rain, cold, wind, which dries the skin, and the temperature difference between the outside and the inside endures our skin. The heating season also contributes to reducing the moisture content of the skin.
Dry skin can cause discomfort. The most common sign of itching is the skin. What do you do then? It begins to hydrate. However, hydration may not eliminate the discomfort caused by dry skin. It can even exacerbate trouble. Hydration can also be exaggerated.
Just think that by constantly blocking our pores and preventing them from getting in the air, not only is the skin more hydrated, but acne can develop, and it can even increase dryness.
So hydrating your skin is important, but you have to draw a line. It is worth making the air in your home more comfortable with a humidifier and, of course, paying attention to the liquid consumption.
