We have to reckon not only with the heat in summer, but also with the burning effect of sunlight. If you do all this with our skin, tanning is just the many steps. Before that, however, we experience the pain of sunburn.
In the bag of the conscious and prepared, it is likely that a small bottle of high-factor sunscreen is always lurking to prevent any part of our body from burning and then experiencing pain. Not everyone is so thorough. Whoever gets the sun can expect skin stretching, pain. What can be done if the sunburn has already occurred?
Which our grandmothers have already used
Burnt skin requires cooling and honestly we don’t want anything else. Wrap with a towel dipped in cold, icy water. Pouring a little apple cider vinegar into the water is also good for it because it reduces inflammation, also reduces skin irritation, and nourishes the skin with vitamins and minerals. If the compress doesn’t seem to be enough, let a tub of lukewarm water add a cup of apple cider vinegar. The bath taken in this way pleasantly cools the body and the skin. It is good even for skin that has not burned.
The compress can be made with tea. Make green or black tea and let it cool. So add it to the water in which to dip the towel and cover the burnt skin with it.
Due to the moisture content of the cucumber, it can give it a popular natural mask base. Not only does it help regenerate and hydrate the skin and not only can it remove the circles from under the eyes, but it also helps to cool and treat burnt skin. It is advisable to cool the snake cucumber slightly before slicing it thinly and placing it in the desired area. We can also do it by blending the cucumber, maybe it will stick better to the skin. After 20 minutes of use, we can feel much more comfortable.
Our ancestors used what was in their environment. Milk and dairy products were also among them, so in case of sunburn, maybe even today we think of lubricating the surface with sour cream. Just be careful with this, because the burnt surface is very sensitive anyway and the lactic acid in sour cream can only make it worse. And the bacteria in sour cream can even infect an already damaged and sensitive skin surface.
Aloe vera has been known here in Hungary for a long time and many people already have this miracle plant in their homes, because the gel material in the leaf is excellent for treating burns and wounds. That is why it is also excellent for sunburn, because it cools the burned skin, nourishes it with vitamins and amino acids. Aloe vera reduces inflammation and regenerates.
