Photos are recorded memories that reflect the past, which we always like to bring to nostalgia. Taking photos has become a part of our lives today.
We keep fewer and fewer printed photos at home, but the memories of phones, computers, and external media can now store huge amounts of digital photos. You can view previously taken photos at any time, even without a printed form. We also like to share photos of ourselves on the social network that we are happy with. But that may be quite a bit. Have you ever disliked yourself? There is an explanation for this.
Why is it that we see ourselves in photos differently than what we did in the mirror or what image we created of ourselves?
Just think of the fact that there are mirrors that show our reflection, but are somewhat distorted. One is fat, the other is sloppy. We prefer the latter much more and would like to equip our home with such a mirror.
Now what? What do we see in the mirror is not the whole reality either? The mirror reproduces the colors, the style of dress we wear, but since our bodies are not perfectly symmetrical, we get used to that image as we see ourselves most in the mirror. However, when a picture is taken of us and we are confronted with it, it is as if we do not see ourselves entirely in it. From this perspective, we see ourselves a little alien.
When we feel we look good and this moment would be apt to capture it, we may not be just as happy with ourselves as we are in the photo.
Of course, it doesn’t matter what angle, light effect, and tool we have when the photo is taken of us, because they can all distort, both advantageously and disadvantageously.
In today's world, you can easily modify and beautify your images with filters and various image editors, but this is a scam for ourselves and others. Using them is not recommended just to make ourselves look prettier.
