With the preparation of the Masha's apraja-grandma, the bus tour of Mohács begins on Thursday, with a record number of 1600 costumes for six days in the city of the Danube.
Among the events of the folk tradition, which ends with the mourning on Tuesday, will be a carnival parade, a folk singing competition, a variety of dance houses and numerous folk dance performances, a multicall, a bus wedding, as well as a mask carving occupation and exhibition made by famous artists.
UNESCO's list of intellectual cultural heritage has been attended by this year's events of 60 years, with 1600 buses and other masquerades from 60 bus groups.
The famous carnival festival of the blinds is first mentioned in a note from 1783. According to the legend, the mysterious ancestors of the Mohács shocked the Mohács Island on the other side of the Danube from the Turkish occupation. They came back across the river and were stunned by superstitious Turks, scared of the city, scared of scary mascars.
