The world is full of wonders, and man is doing so to be able to provide something for tourists beyond natural wonders. The wonders of architecture are not only what has survived from past ages, but also the new ones.
It’s an incredible feeling to walk in a place that takes you back to the historical past. We visit the Egyptian pyramids, other architectural wonders left to us, to make textbooks a reality. But not only the legacy of vanished civilizations can dazzle, but new ones as well.
The newest attraction in China can be enjoyed at an altitude of 250 meters. The so-called Crystal is essentially a vertical skyscraper that is part of a building complex. It is a glass bridge that spans the four skyscrapers of Raffles Citíy and runs through it.
The Crystal, which covers 1,500 square feet, was handed over at the end of May, and although it could receive many more visitors, entry is being restricted to take precautions against the coronavirus epidemic. Wearing a mask is mandatory and visitors will be monitored for body temperature upon entry.
The Crystal offers a 300-meter-long experience for tourists, starting with a futuristic express lift. The elevator takes people to the 47th level of the building, where discovery awaits them. Not only can you enjoy the incredible view from a height of 250 meters, but there are also exhibitions.
The Crystal Vertical Skyscraper shows even less of what it can do. In the future, clubs and offices will be opened in it and there will be restaurants, cafes and even a swimming pool. By the time the building is completely completed, more than a hundred trees will grow inside.
Designed by Moshe Safdie, the Crystal is the highest-ever bridge ever.
