You don't even have to cross the border to find excitement and beauty. Our small country contains so much beauty and attractions. In addition to all this, they can also be dangerous.
During the conquest of the beautiful domestic landscape, not only sight awaits us, but also danger. However, if we can prepare for them and have adequate knowledge, the degree of danger is reduced or can be completely avoided.
The banks of the Danube and the Tisza: the view of our country's two great rivers is captivating, but like natural rivers, they are also unpredictable. Even those who can swim can be at risk. It is important to follow the rules for swimming and boating.
Lake Balaton: there is almost no year that our country's largest lake does not claim human lives. It is a pleasant resort most of the year, but the deep water and strong currents can be dangerous for unfit swimmers and boaters.
Lake Tisza: a real bird paradise and nature reserve, but while birds are well aware that mud and aquatic plants can be dangerous, people are not sure. For this reason, it is important to follow all the rules and only the designated bathing area can be used safely.
Rudabánya lake: the mining lake located in the area of the once prosperous mining town is beautiful, but very dangerous. In fact, it is called the most dangerous. All mining ponds are dangerous in themselves, because they deepen suddenly and there can be huge holes in the bed. Lake Rudabányai is the deepest still water in Hungary.
Mátra Mountains: even though our country cannot boast of very high mountains, Mátra can still pose a danger, especially in winter. Driving on mountain serpentines is safe if you follow the speed limit and use a vehicle with the appropriate equipment.
Beech Mountains: the rocks and gorges here are amazing, but the area of the mountains can be dangerous for those who are not aware of the tourist routes and the conditions of the area.
Rám ravine: one of the best-known hiking trails, which is part of the Visegrád Mountains. During the gorge tour, you will be greeted by a wild and novel environment, where you will be greeted by steep walls, waterfalls and roars, but the gorge can be accessed via ladders and stairs.
Szelim Cave: one of the most famous caves in our country is located in Tatabánya. The Szelim cave is 45 meters long and 14 meters high and is an important archaeological and paleontological site. The rupture in the inner part of the room and its surroundings can be dangerous due to the rubble rock.
